I feel like all my Christmases have come at once! [info]maarikaaa has been working on a ShizNat fanart for a little while now. I think I requested a picture of Shizuru in Naginatajutsu armour and she took a whole scene from the first chapter of my fan fiction, Giving In, and made it... beautiful! It's absolutely gorgeous! And as she only uses her LJ for lurking *cough* I got her permission to post the picture up here for everyone else to enjoy too. I'd love to be greedy and keep it all to myself but I just can't let this lovely piece of art go unseen by others! ~_0

for now you have to be satisfied with the lineart....I wanted to color it..but right now .. I turned my comp off without my intention and the whole color work is gone...but I'll post the colored one too..*shakes fist* >_

I know you did! I think you were already familiar with all the details before you even saw it. ;P It's based on your story after all.
But I'm glad other people notice all those little things too. I don't normally put too much detail in my drawings 'cause I'm a minimalist at times. Which is the reason why it took so long to finish, too. And because the internet doesn't like to offer tons of high-quality reference pics without googling through dozens of sites. *shakes fist*

Hehe, well... that's... okay then! And I guess that's true, but at least I still noticed it. ;)

Detail's nice sometimes but it isn't always necessary. But I think it was for this kind of armour, because it shows Shizuru's rank, so to speak. Not that it's important for the scene, only earlier in the story. *shrug* I'm just rambling now. Heh.
